ABOUT ME

Having drawn for as long as I can remember I had always wanted to work in a creative industry. It took me a while to get there but I became a professional graphic designer in 2005 - and spent 10 years working at The Northern Echo - one of the oldest regional newspapers in the country.
During that time I honed my illustration skills working on in-paper illustrations and private commissions.
I have undertaken hundreds of caricature and illustration commissions, have studied under World renowned caricature artist Jason Seiler and have developed my own range of prints and merchandise - available in my online store.
I live in Hurworth, on the outskirts of County Durham with my wife and 2 young sons.
Editor Peter Barron MBE was, and continues to be, a big supporter of my work...
“I had the pleasure of working with Dave when I was editor of The Northern Echo and his skills as a caricaturist were invaluable, especially at Budget time when we wanted a satirical illustration of the Chancellor for the front page.
“Now I run my own media company, I have frequently used Dave’s services for business clients and on a personal level for friends and family.“

A caricature in a frame makes such a unique gift and, in my opinion, Dave is one of the best you’ll find anywhere. A fantastic artist who captures a perfect likeness, doesn’t charge the earth, and is a really nice bloke too. Thoroughly recommended.”
